Program name

BookingVana booking notifications, operated by BookingVana.

BookingVana is a booking platform. Independent businesses take bookings through it, and BookingVana sends these messages on their behalf — the name of the business you booked with appears in every message.

Program description

BookingVana sends text messages about bookings you have made with a business that uses BookingVana. This is a transactional service program: every message relates to your own booking. The messages are:

• booking confirmations
• appointment reminders
• balance-due notices
• waiver requests

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages on this program, and we never send messages to a number that has not opted in.

How to join

You join by entering your mobile number and checking the SMS consent box while booking on our website. The box is unchecked by default; you have to check it yourself. The exact wording you agree to is:

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can complete a booking without giving us a phone number.

The box appears on the checkout of the business you are booking with, and names that business as the sender. Opting in there covers messages about that booking only — it does not sign you up for messages from any other business on BookingVana.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. Messages are sent in response to your own booking activity, so the number depends on how many bookings you make. A single booking typically results in between one and four messages.

Cost

Msg & data rates may apply. BookingVana does not charge you for these messages, but your mobile carrier's standard message and data rates apply. Check with your carrier if you are unsure of your plan's rates.

How to stop messages (opt out)

Reply STOP to any message from us to stop receiving text messages.

You may also reply STOPALL, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT. We will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and then no further texts will be sent to that number. To rejoin, check the SMS box again on your next booking.

Opting out of texts does not cancel your booking, and we will still email you your booking confirmation and reminders.

Carriers and delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is best-effort and depends on your carrier and your device; do not rely on a text as your only record of a booking — your emailed confirmation is authoritative.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared, and all SMS consent data stays with BookingVana. The only party that receives your number is our messaging provider, Twilio, solely to deliver these messages. Full details in our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder of, or authorized to use, the mobile number you provide. Supported carriers may change over time.
